   WBCS- 2021 Notification Released. WBCS application start- 2021

                   In accordance with the State Services Recruitment Rules, the Public Service Commission, West Bengal will hold the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) etc. Examination, 2021 on the results of which recruitment to the West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) and certain other services and posts will be made.

                   W.B.C.S. Examination consists of two parts – (1) Written Examination,

                                                                                             (2) Personality Test.

                                            Written Examination will be held in two successive stages,            (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ Type) and (ii) Main Examination (Both Objective MCQ Type and Conventional Type).

                   A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Main Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Main Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test

                   The Preliminary Examination will be held at various centers in Kolkata and in certain other districts in West Bengal tentatively in the month of MARCH/APRIL, 2021. The Main Examination will be held in Kolkata in the later part of the same year. The Personality Test will be held thereafter in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, in Kolkata.

  • Start of submission of online application : The 24th December , 2020
  • Closing date for submission of online application : The 15th January , 2021 (up to 12-00 midnight)
  • Closing date for submission of fees through online : The 15th January , 2021 (up to 12-00 midnight)
  • Closing date for submission of fees through offline: The16th January, 2021.
  • Challan must be generated by the 15th January, 2021 positively.

 

Qualification:

  • A degree of a recognized University.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)

 

AGE (as on the 1st January of the year of examination):

  • For Group A & C: 21-36 Years
  • Born not earlier than the 02-01-1985 and not later than the 01-01-2000.
  • For Group B:20-36 Years
  • Born not earlier than the 02-01-1985 and not later than the 01-01-2021.
  • For Group D:21-39 Years
  • Born not earlier than the 02-01-1982 and not later than the 01-01-2000.

Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

MODE OF APPLICATION:

Applications can be submitted through online only.

APPLICATION FEE:

Rs.210/- (Rupees two hundred ten) only + Service Charge 1% of Examination Fee subject to a minimum of Rs.5/- (Rupees Five) only for online payment through debit/credit card plus service charge /GST as applicable as Govt. Duty or Service Charge of Rs.5/- (Rupees Five) only for Net Banking or Service Charge of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) only for payment through Bank Counter (off-line payment). SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO SC/ST/BC CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.

How to apply WBCS 2021 online:

             WBCS application 2021 was activated and the candidates who don’t have the enrolment number cannot fill the WBCS application 2021. WBPSC enrolment number is the prerequisite for filling the WBCS application form. WBCS 2021 application can be submitted online. The candidates having the WBPSC enrolment number can fill the WBCS 2021 application as given below.

  • Go to the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission – https://wbpsc.gov.in
  • Click on the “Login if already registered” link at the right side
  • Log in with the enrolment number, password and enter the captcha code
  • On logging, the candidate will get an exam dashboard
  • Select the advertisement from the dashboard and the name of the post. Click on proceed
  • After proceeding, the WBCS 2021 application window will open, informing about the date of birth and the category.
  • Read the instructions given below and submit the declaration
  • Fill the WBCS 2021 Application details as required in the form
  • Submit the WBCS 2021 Application fee as per the category
  • Submit the WBCS 2021 Application
  • Download the WBCS Application Submission acknowledgement.

 

How to get an enrolment number of WBPSC:

                  The candidates need to do a one-time registration to get the WBPSC enrolment number. WBPSC enrolment number is sent to the mobile number and the registered email Id. The new candidate needs to submit the following details for the WBSPC enrolment number:

  • A valid contact number
  • Password
  • Email Id
  • Name        
  • Sex
  • Date of Birth
  • Father name
  • Mother name

                On filling the above details, the enrolment will be generated and the candidate will be directed to the verification page. On submitting the details, a onetime password will be sent to the mobile number of the candidate. The candidate needs to verify the OTP against the enrolment number. On verification, the candidate will get the enrolment number and password.

The last date to submit the WBCS 2021 application online is January 15 and for the offline mode, the last date is January 16, but the bank challan must be generated by January 15.
